Episode 38: Penilla Party

My Post.jpg

The Revs bagged three points at home against defending MLS Cup Champs, Toronto FC, on a night when Cristian Penilla picked up his third and fourth goals of the season just minutes apart. Teal Bunbury played through the heaves to connect on his fifth goal and first assist of of 2018 and the Revs remain at sixth in the East with a record of 6-3-3.

This week Ray, Jon and Alex welcome back Jonathan Sigal, from MLSsoccer.com and New England Soccer Journal, as well as Jake Catanese, from The Bent Musket, to break down Brad Friedel’s shuffled line up; Matt Turner’s increasing swagger, and what’s behind the recently released MLS salary numbers.

Then good friend, Ralph Schudell, of the Massive Report, checks in to preview Columbus Crew SC’s weekend visit to Foxborough. Columbus hasn’t lost in five games and currently sit in second place in the table. Should be a good test for the Boys in Blue.

Finally, we send a few special shoutouts to our Moms, in honor of Mother’s Day.
