Episode 61: 'A Work in Progress'

The Revs fell 2-0 to Columbus in a disappointing home opener Saturday as head Coach Brad Friedel made a mid-game decision to shuffle the line-up, making way for first-year home grown Justin Rennicks and eventually Tajon Buchannon to make their MLS debuts.

Forward Gyasi Zardes netted both goals for Crew SC. His first came in the 26th minute off a pretty cross from Pedro Santos, which was aptly headed home. Zardes connected again in stoppage time with the Revs caught off guard from pushing high in an effort to equalize.

The Revs had a shot to pull even in the 57th minute when Wilfried Zahibo drew a penalty inside the box, but Diego Fagundez's couldn’t capitalize on the penalty and the Revs dropped to 0-1-1 in the early campaign.

Is is too early to worry over New England’s lack of offensive production? We talk about it with Sean Sweeney, from The Boston Sports Journal and introduce Carolina Tavares, new Revs correspondent from Prost America. Then talk with old pay Tej Sahota, of Waking the Red, to preview the Revs at Toronto FC this weekend.
