Head coach Brad Friedel said the Revs’ main priority against Red Bull this week was to walk away with a clean sheet. Mission accomplished, but we’ll take the needed three points, too.
New England picked up its’ second win of the 2019 campaign with a 1-0 victory over its’ I-95 rival as Cristian Penilla notched the game's lone goal in the 73rd minute, besting Red Bulls goalkeeper Luis Robles with a dribbler on the near post. We bring back Sean Sweeney, from the Boston Sports Journal, and Dan Shulman of the Boston Globe to break it all down.
Then, we look ahead to Montreal to see if the Revs can pick up a win streak with a mid-week tilt against the Impact. Paul Vance, managing editor of Mount Royal Soccer, joins us for the preview.
