Nearly five hours, over two nights and three separate weather delays weren’t enough to slow the Revs’ momentum as they picked up three points at Colorado’s Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, in a Fourth of July tilt with the Rapids.

In the eighth minute, scorching hot Teal Bunbury found the back of the net to earn his 50th career MLS goal and give New England the early lead. After a shortened halftime, the Revs doubled their advantage in the 52nd minute on a set-piece from Carles Gil, who connected with Juan Fernando Caicedo for his fourth goal of the campaign. Colorado responded and got one back in the 71st minute, but New England withstood the additional late pressure to bag three points and extend their unbeaten streak to seven.

With the secondary transfer window nearly open, rumors continue to swirl that New England is hoping to sign Argentinian attacker Gustavo Bou. We bring in Ceasar Hernandez, of the Xolos Podcast, which covers Bou’s current team, Club Tijuana, to see what supporters can expect from the prolific scorer.

Then Jason York, from MLS Soccer, and Sean Sweeney, of the Boston Sports Journal help break down the marathon Colorado match. Finally, we look ahead to Friday’s match up with DC United with Ted Meyer, of the RFK Refugees Podcasts.
